Mgr Krzysztof Silicki

Krzysztof Silicki is an engineer and a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, with over 30 years of experience in cybersecurity. At NASK, he has served as Technical Director, Deputy Director and Plenipotentiary for CERT Polska. In 1996, he established Poland’s first computer security incident response team, later named CERT Polska. He also founded the SECURE conference on computer network security.

Since 2004, he has represented Poland on the Management Board of ENISA, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity. He joined its Executive Board in 2013 and became Vice-Chair of the Management Board in 2016. As Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs in 2017–2018, he helped develop Poland’s Act on the National Cybersecurity System. In 2023, he was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for his contribution to ICT network security and international cooperation in cybersecurity.
